01Overview
This Refund Policy explains when you are eligible for a refund on a Merf subscription and how to request one. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
02Start with a free trial
Every plan begins with a 7-day free trial that requires no credit card. We strongly encourage you to use the trial to confirm Merf is right for you before paying — it is the best way to avoid the need for a refund altogether.
03Refund eligibility
You may be eligible for a refund when:
- You were charged due to a technical billing error on our side.
- You were charged after cancelling but before your renewal date, due to a system fault.
- The Service was materially unavailable for an extended period during your paid term and we could not resolve it.
Eligible refunds on monthly plans are generally requested within 14 days of the charge.
04What is not refundable
Refunds are generally not available for:
- Dissatisfaction with the views, followers, or engagement your posts receive — Merf is a publishing tool and does not control platform algorithms or guarantee results.
- Subscription time that has already elapsed in the current billing period.
- Accounts suspended or terminated for violating our Terms of Service.
- Inability to publish caused by a third-party platform changing or revoking API access, where the issue is outside our control.
05Annual plans
Annual subscriptions may be eligible for a prorated refund of the unused portion within the first 30 days, at our reasonable discretion. After 30 days, annual plans are non-refundable but you keep access until the end of the paid term.
06How to request a refund
Email billing@merf.social from the address on your account and include:
- Your account email and plan.
- The date and amount of the charge.
- A short description of the reason for your request.
07Processing time
We review refund requests within 5 business days. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method and may take an additional 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank or card provider.
08Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback — we can almost always resolve billing issues faster directly. Chargebacks filed without contacting us may result in suspension of your account.
